Always Paste The Contract Address
When trading for a coin or token, it’s always best to copy/paste the contract address instead of searching for it by name.
There are duplicates of coins because there are deceitful developers who create these, knowing that beginners will search by name and accidentally buy the wrong coin. It’s horrible when this happens, but it’s easy money for those developers.Lots of times, you won’t be able to cash these counterfeit coins because they lack liquidity and they just remain stuck in your wallet.
So, always copy/paste from a trusted source. The coin’s official website or coinmarketcap.com are usually the best sources to find the contract address.
The contract address looks like a long string of words and numbers, like this: 5xn1Hn95QPjTP4sK1KjWgUANpJGQ4aoDATrEUj3mpump
If you paste the address, only one coin will show.
This goes for Phantom wallet, dexscreener or any search bar you use.If you’re using dexscreener.com, you’ll be able to copy the contract address by clicking on the copy icon near the token’s name.
